Take these 7 Things That Make Great Bosses Unforgettable in this great article by: Dr. Travis Bradberry, and apply them to your hiring practices…..your hire for “fit” success should definitely increase!

Here’s a few interview questions to consider adding to your hiring practices:

  1. Is there anyone at the your last job who really bothered you?  How did you deal with this?
  2. Tell me about a colleague you really worked well with and got along with?
  3. If you ran your own company what kinds of people would you hire and why?

These questions will provide you with a little insight to the candidates’ EI IQ….how do they respond to others they get along with and those they don’t as well as those the kinds of people they like to work with.  You’ll probably also learn something about how well they understand the effect of their behavior on others.  Compare the responses to your organization to help determine how well this candidate may fit.
